Licensing Information

Congratulations! You have passed all three pre-licensing classes and are ready to take your Brokers Exam. In order to schedule your exam, you will need to consult the Candidate Information Bulletin that has been supplied to you. Please note, if it’s been more than 6 months since you took the classes, please check online for the latest addition of the Bulletin (psiexams.com). The following additional information may be helpful:
1. The application process is completely online. You’ll need to register at the PSI website.
2. Make sure you answer the question: “Are you a legal resident?”
3. The Special Arrangement box will be checked “NO” unless you have medical or other documentation to request assistance.
4. You need to check the associate broker box.
5. You need to check the boxes that describe the classes you took (Law, Practice and Broker Basics).
6. You’ll need to scan your certificates and attach them to the application.
7. Fill out the credit card information
8. The email address and physical address can be found online. If you have any questions for PSI, I would recommend emailing them. Calling them can be frustrating.
Once PSI has received and verified your information, you’ll get an email asking you to login to your account and schedule a testing time. Please be sure to read the Candidate Information Bulletin (CIB) about what to expect when you get there to take the test.
Once you have passed your exam, you will need to apply for your license within 6 months or you’ll have to take the exam again. Information on the license application will be given to you at the testing center once you’ve passed the exam. The application for your license is done online. Please note that you MUST have fingerprinting done via Live Scan and those have to be done within 21 days of submission of application. If it’s “older” than that, you’ll need to have it redone.
Remember that your certificates are valid for 3 years, so if you wait too long to test, you may have to take the classes all over! Good luck!!
